Aerial Classes

Private and Group Lessons

Whether you are a total beginner or an experienced aerialist, our lessons are tailored to your needs so that you can reach your goals. In a private lesson we will have an intake to discuss your goals before moving onto the lesson. After a warm-up on the floor, warm up on the equipment, we will teach skills with a focus on YOUR STRENGTHS and help you learn what movements or adjustments work best FOR YOU or your group. We do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to teaching. Everyone has their own skill sets, their own injuries, their own body types, their own goals, and their own fears. We will work together to create an aerial curriculum that fits your needs, keeps you safe, and gives you the experience that you are looking for. Lessons can be arranged in Haiku or Makawao/Pukalani or your home if you have a safe aerial rigging point (no trees).

Open Gym is a great opportunity to practice skills you have learned in class and to work on technique and strength training.  It’s also a great space to meet with other aerialists and geek out on aerial speak.  Need to troubleshoot a trick?  Get help with  transition?  This is a great place to workshop moves in a safe and supportive environment.  While there is no teaching during an open gym, a certified teacher will be there keeping an eye on things and on hand for spotting and to answer any questions.

Aerial House Calls

As aerial grows in popularity, more people are installing aerial equipment in their own homes and learning from the internet, books, and exploration. While this option is liberating and exciting (you can train whenever you want!) it can also be dangerous. Proper rigging is needed for aerial and online instruction can never replace the knowledge, skilled-eye and spotting safety provided by a professional instructor. As Maui is a DIY kind of island, we make house calls! If our instructors approve your rigging point, we will come to you and teach you out of your home. We teach safe progressions with an emphasis on technique and strength building — giving you maximum progress and keeping you safe. We even bring crash pads if you don’t have them!
