Open Gym is a great opportunity to practice skills you have learned in class and to work on technique and strength training. While there is no teaching during an open gym, an instructor will be there keeping an eye on things and on hand for spotting and to answer any questions.
Open Gym during COVID
Due to Covid related suggestions by the ACYO, our open gyms will operate differently than before. Open Gyms are now on a reservation system and only 4 people at a time can train, if they want to train with their own point. If you have a “training buddy” to share equipment with, we can have up to 8 students. If you have a training buddy you can share equipment with, register yourself and your training buddy can pay upon arrival. The only way to secure your training point is to register in advance.
BYOE! Bring Your Own Equipment
Also, feel free to BYOE (bring your own equipment!) If you bring your own equipment, it is very helpful to us and will eventually let us offer more classes, as we will not have to wash and quarantine our own equipment as much.
Schedule Your Own Private Gym
If you own your own training equipment and want to train with friends, you can schedule your own “private open gym.” Contact us to learn more and to schedule. Pricing depends on number of people and equipment.
